Slightly rough around the Edges
Biography
Some 40 and 7 years ago, I was born in what can be described as a slum, although my mother and father probably did there best to make it a nice home, still the good thing I have no memories of the this place. The next 14 years were spent in goverment housing. We were poor by modern day standards, but somewhat happy, we had a vacation every year which usualy meant sitting on the beach for a couple of weeks, building sandcastles, bathing in the sea, going to see shows at night(One show prevaliant Tom Jones, all the girls throwing their underwear onto the stage) or playing crazy golf in the park, or maybe a trip around the bay on a steamer. We went to the same Hotel for 13 years, sat on the same piece of beach for 13 years, a destiney I vowled not to fill.
I grew up in a road of 23 house with probably 45 kids living there, we were a gang, we played and ran in the streets and terroised the the countryside.
School was a holding tank, until we were of working age, mere factory fodder. some were bright enough to escape this mudane life, become Accounts, Engineers, or maybe even school teachers for the rest of us the expectation was another Goverment house, 2.4 kids, Nutsy the dog, Saturday nights at the local social club, oh that two weeks on that same piece of beach.

Determination somehow I guess, for the 30 years I have been trying to escape what was the plan for me, sure I have a job, car, house, but along the way it's been anything but mundane, and it will never be.
